A.T. Merhaut, Inc. history dates back to 1960 when Mr. Albert T. Merhaut began by going church door to church door in the Pittsburgh area with a few religious articles.  It was the same year that he married his wife Joann, so he knew that he would probably have a family to support.  Little did he know that 11 years later, he would be supporting 9 children and a wife selling religious articles.  Well, he managed to survive with a lot of help from God.  Along the way he visited many beautiful churches and met many wonderful ministers for God, some of whom have become life long friends.

After working on his own for 24 years with much help from Joann, Al's oldest son Tom decided to join the family business and began selling for Dad in 1984.  In 1989 another son, John decided to join the business and moved right in and became the Office Manager.  If that wasn't enough, the youngest son Matt also thought he would give the family business a whirl and joined as a Salesman in 1994.  He stayed for two years and left, but only to return again in 1999 as the Business Manager and the Systems Administrator.  A.T. Merhaut, Inc. is truly a family business.  In the meantime there is a lot of part time help from sisters Gemma and Theresa, Julie Mulvaney (Fellow Parishioner from St. Richard Church in Gibsonia) and long time friend of the family Fran Jocuns.  Joann (Mom) is also a full time employee, and don't tell anyone, she really runs the show.  We have also added another Sales Consultant, another long time friend of the family, Adam Miller.  Adam has degrees in both business and religious studies, so the combination was perfect.

So as you can see, we have plenty of experience here at A.T. Merhaut, Inc.  We are always ready to serve you and look forward to doing business with you.
